“Doug”

Doug is from our second litter. He was my top choice out of the males but my goal was to focus on raising his sisters. I sold Doug as a pet to a nice family but he was returned due to some personal struggles they were going through. We got him back at 16 months and immediately tossed him out with his sisters. They were so happy to have him and it’s been a play fight every day ever since. Thanks to being raised close to our home, he was able to grow up with our other male, Grizzly, and the two of them get along really well. Doug picked up our house rules as if he was never away from home, which is such a testament to his intelligence and adaptability. We look forward to a future with Doug.

Voyageur Qimmiq Malik

(Arcticice Qimmiq Hukam x Ch Arcticice Qimmiq Kinapak)

Malik’s sire, Hukam, has produced some of the hardest working sled dogs seen in CEDs. Hukam is littermate to both our retired CEDs, Havik and Grand Champion Hussy. Hukam’s sire & dam have produced multiple conformation titled dogs & active sled dogs working in the Arctic. Hukam has has mutiple pups sent to working Inuit teams.

Malik’s dam, Kinapak, earned her championship conformation title under her breeder before moving to Mattawa, Ontario where she produced several amazing foundation sled dogs for Voyageur Qimmiq. Kinapaks dam, Oopik, also earned her championship conformation title & is a foundation source for genetic diversity carrying one of the few “out” lines in the breed.

Oopik is also the dam of:

Champion Arcticice Qimmiq Kavik, who has sired multiple pups placed in working homes around the world & Champion Arcticice Qimmiq Kaskae

Arcticice Qimmiq Caleesi

(Ch AKNA Champagny x GCh Arcticice Qimmiq Gjoa)

Caleesi’s brings with her some of the best genetic diversity in the breed. Her sire, Pagny, is out of a breeder from the UK’s lines and earned his Championship conformation title with Arcticice kennels. Caleesi’s grand sire, Mannings Son, is one of the last “out bred” lines. Mannings Son was kept as an intact pet for many years until he was able to be registered and added to our gene pool bringing with him old original Churchill genetics. Caleesi’s dam, Gjoa, earned her Grand Champion title under her breeder and is also littermates to Rook who is both a CKC Champion & UKC Grand Champion in conformation. Gjoa has also produced Grand Champion Arcticice Qimmiq W Asik, Grand Champion Arcticice Qimmiq Wanutka and Champion Arcticice Qimmiq W Atsaq. Gjoa is the grand dam of Italian Champion Fireweed Arcticice Ukiatak Artik. Caleesi’s sire, Pagny, has also produced Champion Arcticice Qimmiq Bolshaya Gora. The real gold in this girls lines are her ability to lend a very low COI in a breed with a very small gene pool.
